What is an AD Code?

The Authorized Dealer Code (AD Code) is a 14-digit numerical code issued by your bank, authorized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and linked to your Import Export Code (IEC). It is mandatory for all exporters in India to register their AD Code with the customs department through the ICEGATE portal to enable export shipment clearance and to receive foreign currency payments.
