Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)
A flagship credit‑linked subsidy initiative by the Ministry of MSME, implemented through Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), with support from State KVIC Directorates, KVIBs, District Industries Centres (DICs) and banks Navbharat Times+15MSME+15SBI+15.
To promote self‑employment by facilitating establishment of new micro‑enterprises in rural and urban areas of India, particularly among traditional artisans and unemployed youth MSME+9MSME+9SBI+9.

Eligible entities include:
Self‑Help Groups (including BPL, provided no previous subsidy)
Societies, Co-operative Societies, Charitable Trusts registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 Kvic Online+1Reddit+1MSME+4MSME+4industries.telangana.gov.in+4.
Not eligible: Existing units that have already availed subsidy under PMRY, REGP, MUDRA, or any state/central scheme—except those applying for second loan/upgradation SBI+12MSME+12MSME+12.

Proof of age & educational qualification (VIII std pass for higher-cost projects)

Business quotations & project cost allocation

Online: Via the official PMEGP e‑portal at KVIC’s site—fill form, upload documents, and submit Wikipedia+15MSME+15SBI+15.
